In its attempt to “support(s) all learners’ … progress towards becoming better inquirers, consumers and creators of information… (to) make sense of their environment, their learning, and their own personal and academic goals”(Ideal Libraries, 2018, p. 2-3), the Schutz American School libraries (elementary and middle/high school) host extensive collections that cater to all grade levels and reading interests, to reinforce the concepts of “Varied Texts” (Tankersley, 2005, p. 17), multimodality, and multiculturalism, all aimed at enhancing the students’ language profile and fostering a sense of ownership, inclusion, and diversity among the school community. 

The Schutz libraries recognize their crucial role in providing the students with a “… a premier education empowering all of our students to pursue their passions as confident global citizens”. With that end in mind, our libraries are essential vibrant hubs of learning, offering students, staff, and parents an array of tools and resources, both in print and online, to support their personal and academic growth.
