As one of the oldest American schools in the Middle East and Africa, Schutz American School boasts a rich history of providing exceptional education. While we maintain a smaller class size, we have high expectations for both students and teachers.

Qualifications:

  • Teaching license or certification
  • Minimum of three years of full-time classroom teaching experience, preferably with three to five years of international teaching experience
  • BA/BSC or equivalent university degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Subject area degree and/or educational master’s degree or a commitment to pursuing further education
  • Advanced Placement (AP) experience for specified high school positions
  • Inquiry-based, constructivist approach to learning and teaching
  • Integration of technology into curriculum   
  • Ability to differentiate for diverse learning needs
  • Experience with standards-based curriculum mapping
